Horizontal screw centrifuges are suitable for processing mixtures with high solids content and high viscosity, such as sludge dewatering in wastewater treatment, starch separation in the food industry, and catalyst recovery in the chemical industry.
Three points should be noted during operation:
First, control the feed rate and concentration to avoid overloading, which can reduce separation efficiency.
Second, regularly check the differential oil temperature and vibration level to ensure the transmission system is functioning properly.
Third, select the appropriate drum speed and screw feeder speed according to the material characteristics. For example, when processing fine particles, the speed should be reduced to minimize resuspension of sediment. After the equipment is shut down, clean the residual sediment inside the drum to prevent blockage.
